Julian completed the Marathon Des Sables which is a six-day, 254 km (156 mile) ultramarathon, the equivalent of six regular marathons, across the southern Moroccan desert. The longest single stage is 91km (55 miles) long.
It is considered the toughest foot race on Earth, with 20% of runners unable to complete the race. It was 50°C during the day and freezing at night.
